Special Equipment

In order to provide extraordinary value and service to our clients, Timberland Security provides our personnel with state of the art equipment. From our patrol vehicles to our communications system; our computer generated reports to our GPS Tracking system, we think you will be impressed.

RPO on Polaris ATV

We exclusively use Polaris® equipment to patrol our sites. Patrols are typically performed on either Polaris® ATV’s, Polaris® Rangers, or Polaris® Professional Series UTV’s.

Polaris Ranger on Patrol

We use only Polaris® four-wheel-drive equipment to patrol undeveloped lands and construction sites. Whether it is an ATV, a Ranger, or a UTV, the drive train and suspension allow for comfortable efficient patrolling over the most demanding of terrains.

Two-Wheel Drive Polaris UTV

Two-wheel-drive Polaris® Professional Series UTV’s are used to patrol our industrial sites and residential / resort communities. These vehicles provide better traction and handling on paved surfaces than their 4x4 counterparts.

The Polaris® Professional Series line meets all OSHA Regulations. Unlike the Polaris® ATV’s and Ranger Series vehicles which can exceed 45 MPH, the Professional Series equipment is limited to 25 MPH. This gives our industrial and construction site clients piece of mind in knowing that they are protected from OSHA related violations.

RPO Communicating by Nextel

For the protection and management of our security personnel, Timberland Security maintains a state-wide, 24 hour dispatch system. Each site is equipped with a two-way Nextel® radio which allows instant access to dispatchers, supervisors, or clients as needed. Our dispatchers conduct routine status checks on our personnel in the field to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

We believe that communications between clients and our management or marketing staff is equally important. Whenever a client needs to contact one of our Timberland Security managers or marketing consultants, they will find that they are just the push of a button away. In addition to being equipped with Nextel® radio and cellular communications with voice mail, all staff members have their emails forwarded to a two-way alpha paging system. They are able to instantly receive and send emails from almost anywhere in the country.

In addition to keeping in touch with our clients, we believe in keeping them informed. That is why each Resource Protection Officer completes a Daily Activity Report outlining the date and time of patrols, the completion of routine tasks, and any pertinent information that requires documentation.

Additionally, Incident Reports are completed on all criminal offenses or violations of client’s policies that occur on our sites. Incident Reports include digital photos and a detailed description of the violation.

RPO Documenting a Report

Incident Reports are either emailed or faxed to our clients as soon a practical. Daily Activity Reports are either emailed or mailed in a CD to our clients weekly, biweekly, or monthly as requested.

A Security Manager Reviewing Site Map

As part of our continuing effort to provide better services to our clients and to ensure the safety of our security personnel, Timberland Security is in the process of equipping all of our patrol vehicles with a GPS Tracking System. This system, will allow us to remotely supervise the patrol patterns of our employees anywhere in the country. Site specific maps or diagrams can be entered into the computer system to determine a patrol vehicle’s current or previous locations within 10 feet.
