The Timberland Security Corporation specializes in providing security services on large tracts of undeveloped land, large construction sites, and other rural properties. We pride ourselves on our ability to be flexible with clients in order to meet their diverse needs. Our wide range of special equipment and experienced employees ensure that we can provide an outstanding level of service to our clients, regardless of the site and its physical condition.


Our History


Timberland Security was created in 1997 to fill the void in the rural communities of Central Florida that lack access to professional security companies. By utilizing our expertise and equipment, Timberland Security has protected rural properties that urban security companies are unable to protect.

Dave Morgan, Public Use Coordinator for the Southwest Florida Water Management District wrote in a recent letter:
“The quality of service we receive from Mr. Lamb and his security staff has been excellent. Their job knowledge, dealings with the public and other government agencies as well as with our staff have been above reproach.”

Craig Linton, Real Estate Manager for Evans Properties, Inc. hired us to patrol their Plantation Palms Golf Club construction site in Land O’ Lakes and has retained our services to patrol the golf course and the community. In a letter, Mr. Linton stated:

Corporate Headquarters


Timberland Security’s corporate headquarters is located in San Antonio, Florida. It houses our operations and administrative divisions. The office is operational 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
The communications division maintains 24 hour dispatch with all Resource Protection Officers, Security Officers, Supervisors and Managers in the field. Routine status checks ensure the safety of our employees and the protection of our clients.



Our Team

President / CEO
Billy Lamb graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Leo University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminology. Billy began his law enforcement career in 1987, retiring in November of 2007.

While serving with the Tampa Police Department, Billy became one of the foremost experts in the state, in the field of Crime Prevention and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Billy has been retained as an expert witness in the field of security on numerous occasions. He has also been hired to consult with architects and developers to design safer buildings and communities.

Billy interacts closely with all Timberland Security clients and offers them complimen- tary security consulting services.

Vice President
Virginia Gonzales Lamb maintains a ten year nursing background. She has been with Timberland Security since its establishment in 1997. She assumed the position as Vice President of Timberland in June of 2000. Virginia oversees all business development and customer relations.

Chief Operating Officer
Shawn McMurphy is a former Tactical Officer with the Crystal River Nuclear Power Plant. He holds a USCG Captain’s License; he is experienced in Advanced Tactical Training and anti-terrorism.

Shawn is responsible for overseeing all security operations for Timberland Secur-ity. In addition to supervising security personnel Shawn responds to the needs and concerns of each client. He is always available to satisfy any issues or concerns that may arise relating to our services.

Director of Marketing
Christina Brewer is currently responsible for Timberland Security’s marketing and business development. She graduated Cum Laude from Tampa College with a Masters in Business Administration in 2001 and from The University of Central Florida in 1995 with a Bachelors Degree in Science. Christina’s ten years of experience in Marketing Management brings a unique insight on Timberland’s development.


Director of Administration
Lyndsey Dixon received her high school degree in Massachusetts and is currently enrolled with the International Academy of Design and Technology. She is responsible for all of Timberland Security’s administrative functions including human resources, accounts payable / receivable, payroll and invoicing. Lyndsey is in charge of revising and editing all written material and also supports all of our daily office services.

Field Supervisors
Security Directors are assigned to specific geographical areas and sites throughout our service area. They are responsible for security operations within their respective counties. They will respond to any incident that requires supervisory attention; and the exchange of information between the various shifts. Field Supervisors perform random site inspections to ensure that our high standard of service is being maintained.


Security Officers

Security Officers are highly qualified individuals. Our Officers are certified as Class-D Security Officers by the State of Florida and work in an unarmed capacity. Security Officers are used to man gates and monitor Closed Circuit TV systems.
