Security Officers

Timberland Security is currently seeking full and part-time Security Officers to be a part of our specialized team. Timberland Security's Security Officers are certified by the State of Florida as Class D Security Guards. They are carefully screened to ensure the best candidate for each position. Every Security Officer is given additional training to reflect their assignment.

Security Officers are typically assigned to non-patrol functions such as manning guard gates and closed circuit television monitoring stations.

Resource Protection Officers

Timberland Security is currently seeking full and part-time Resource Protection Officers to be a part of our specialized team. If you love the outdoors, can work independent of direct supervision, and meet the following qualifications, we want to hear from you.

Employment Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Applicants must have access to Microsoft Word and have Internet Access.
  • Applicants must hold active Class D & G Security Licenses.
  • Working conditions are physically demanding.  The applicant must be in good physical condition.
  • The applicant must have either a Police Academy Certification or 2 years of prior Military Police service.
  • Verbal communication and report documentation is an essential part of the resource protection officer's duties.  Therefore, the applicant must have a good command of the English language and above average writing skills.
  • Applicants for resource protection officer positions cannot have a criminal history. 
  • All applicants must hold a valid Florida Drivers License and have a good driving history.
  • Since the majority of the patrols will be conducted on an All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's),the applicants are required to complete an ATV Safety Course prior to employment.
  • Employees of Timberland Security are to refrain from smoking tobacco while on duty.  Applicants must be able to comply with this policy.
