Environmental and Undeveloped Land Security

Established in 1997, Timberland Security is the sole provider of private resource protection and ranger services in Florida. Specializing in the protection and preservation of environmentally sensitive lands and facilitating the safe and orderly use of recreational parks, our flexible, turn-key programs provide clients with cost-effective, outsourcing options.
Standard services include:

Resource Protection Program

Timberland Security’s Resource Protection Officers exceeds the industry’s standards for security guards. Billy realizes that regardless of how good his concept for Timberland Security is, it is the caliber of his employees that will ultimately determine the company’s success.

RPO with Ranger Vehicle

In addition to the state D & G licensing for armed security guards, Resource Protection Officers are required to have a background in law enforcement, military police and/or a police academy certification. In fact, several maintain reserve statuses with state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the state of Florida.

The result is an individual with an average of 600 to 1,000 hours of training beyond the 24 hours of your average security guard and the experience to operate independently, make sound decisions and react properly under pressure.

Many of our Resource Protection Officers have various college backgrounds. Several hold Bachelor Degrees. You can be assured that each Officer has an outstanding command of the English language including good writing skills.

Ranger Program

Our Ranger Program was developed to facilitate the use and enjoyment of recreational lands. Rangers maintain security licenses in conformance with state laws and work in an unarmed capacity. They perform functions such as staffing entry stations, coordinating recreational activities, and participating in facility maintenance.

Equipment, Communication and Accountability

Motor Vehicles

RPO on ATVIn order to provide extraordinary value and service to our clients Timberland Security provides our personnel with state of the art equipment. From our patrol vehicles to our communications system; from our computer generated reports to our GPS Tracking systems, we believe you will be impressed.

We utilize four-wheel drive vehicles to patrol our sites. Patrols are typically performed on either ATV's, utility vehicles, or trucks.

Communication

For the protection and management of our security personnel, Timberland Security maintains a state-wide, 24 hour dispatch system. Each site is equipped with a two-way-radio; this allows instant access to dispatchers, supervisors or clients as needed. Our dispatchers conduct routine status checks on our personnel in the field to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

We believe that communications between clients and our management or marketing staff is equally important. Whenever a client needs to contact one of our Timberland Security managers, they will find that they are just “a push of a button away”. In addition to being eRPO writing reportquipped with a radio and cellular communications with voicemail, all staff members have their emails forwarded to a PDA. They are able to instantly receive and send emails from almost anywhere in the country.

In addition to keeping in touch with our clients, we believe in keeping them informed. That is why; based upon client needs, each Resource Protection Officer can complete a Daily Activity Report. These reports outline the date and time of patrols, the completion of routine tasks and any pertinent information that requires any documentation.

Additionally, incident reports are completed on all criminal offenses or violations of client policies that occur on our sites. Incident Reports include digital photos with detailed descriptions of each violation.

Accountability

Daily Activity and Incident Reports are completed in the field with a PDA or from a PC using our web based reporting system. When reports are approved they are stored on the clients’ login site. Clients can view, print or download their reports at any time.

RPO on radioAs part of our continuing effort to provide better services to our clients and to ensure the safety of our security personnel, Timberland Security has equipped all security personnel with a PDA or cellular device with integrated GPS.

We are able to track the whereabouts of our personnel every three minutes; maintaining a historic database for future reference. These features include the employee login procedures with a date and time stamp process. This new Electronic Management System allows 100% verification of payroll and invoice information. Plot-Point-Diagrams can be viewed on our computer systems to determine an officer’s current or previous location(s) within a 10 feet radius.
